Purpose
To equip men for ordained preaching and pastoral ministry in the Bible Presbyterian Church, General Synod (BPC), Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary has established an endowed scholarship fund to benefit seminary students coming from the BPC. As of January 2022, the Fund is sufficiently grown to underwrite one full-time scholarship. As the Fund grows, it will support additional students from the BPC.
Plan
Now fully funded for one annual scholarship, this Fund will provide one full-time resident student in the MDiv program with a full-tuition scholarship for four years of full-time study. The student must provide a formal recommendation letter from a presbytery of the BPC which has received the student “Under Care” prior to matriculation.
Recipients of the scholarship must maintain full-time status through to the completion of their degree, remain in residence for at least three years of the program, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA throughout the scholarship period, and hold membership in a BPC congregation during their time at the Seminary. Upon graduation, recipients must serve as an intern or minister in a BPC congregation for a minimum of three years, if extended a call.
