Zachary Groff, Director of Advancement & Admissions
Each morning, we thank God for His generous provision for
our every need here at the Seminary. At the beginning of this year, we are
especially thanking Him for the great response we received to our calendar
year-end appeal last month. In the last
five weeks of 2017, we received more donations, and higher total giving (over
$330,000) than ever before in the history of the Seminary for that period of
time.
Our total income for the four weeks of December, including
donations and other sources, was $285,275.
That represents significant (nearly 15%) growth from December 2016. Additionally,
our network of support has grown this fiscal year. Over 550 churches and
individuals have provided $499,932 in unrestricted gifts to the Seminary since
July 1st. About 120 of those supporters are first-time donors to the
Seminary. Many others beyond those 120 are renewed donors who have not given in
a year or more.
Though we are still below budget for revenues (largely in the
area of church-based support), we are currently ahead of our expenses for the
fiscal year. With the Lord’s help, we encourage our friends to stand with us in
prayer and finances for an enduring Reformation in 2018, even as we welcome
more new students into our student body for the Spring semester.
If you would like to make a financial gift to the Seminary,
you may do so either online at gpts.edu/donate
or by mailing a check containing your gift to GPTS, PO Box 690, Taylors, SC
29687. Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary is a registered
501( c )(3) charitable organization, and all gifts are tax-deductible. Thank you
for your generous support! Ω
