
Each January, we host a number of weeklong intensive courses designed with pastors (both aspiring and current) in mind. In just a couple of months, various adjunct and full-time faculty members will be on-campus to take us through courses in their respective areas of expertise.

Presbyterian Church History
Dr. C.N. Willborn (PhD Westminster Theological Seminary) will take us through a tour de force of Presbyterian church history on January 11-15, 2021. This course involves three days of classroom lectures, and two days of touring in Columbia and Charleston, SC. This course is open to all who are interested.

Introduction to Homiletics
Pastor Breno Macedo (ThM Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary) will guide us in an introductory level Homiletics course on January 4-15, 2021 (one week of lectures, one week of practicum, as needed). This course is reserved for ordained men and candidates for the gospel ministry.

Reformed Pastor
Dr. Ian Hamilton (DD Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary) will outline for us the emphatic features of Reformed pastoral care on January 4-15, 2021 (9AM – 1PM, exclusive of weekend days). This course is open to all who are interested.

Ethics
Mr. James “Bebo” Elkin (MDiv Reformed Theological Seminary, ThM Union Theological Seminary) will explore the pastoral dimensions of ethics on January 18-22, 2021. This course is reserved for ordained men and candidates for the gospel ministry.

Introduction to Biblical Counseling
Dr. Kevin Backus (PhD Whitefield Theological Seminary) will lay a foundation for biblical counseling on January 18-22, 2021. Dr. Backus is certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and this class is open to all who are interested.
