Each January, we host a number of weeklong intensive courses designed with pastors (both aspiring and current) in mind. Various adjunct and full-time faculty members will be on-campus to take us through courses in their respective areas of expertise.

Introduction to Homiletics (AT20)
Pastor Breno Macedo (ThM Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary) will guide us in an introductory level Homiletics course on the weekdays of January 3-13, 2022 (one week of lectures, one week of practicum, as needed). This course is reserved for ordained men and candidates for the gospel ministry.


Introduction to Biblical Counseling (AT12)
Dr. Kevin Backus (PhD Whitefield Theological Seminary) will lay a foundation for biblical counseling on the weekdays of January 4-10. Dr. Backus is certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and this class is open to all who are interested.
Reformed Pastor (AT40)
Dr. Ian Hamilton (DD Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary) will draw from the deep well of Reformed faith and practice to instruct students in pastoral ministry on the weekdays of January 4-10, 2022 (9AM – 3PM). This course is open to all who are interested.


Presbyterian Church History (HT10)
Dr. C.N. Willborn (PhD Westminster Theological Seminary) will take us on a tour de force of Presbyterian church history on January 16-20, 2022. This course involves three days of classroom lectures, and two days of touring in Columbia and Charleston, SC. This course is open to all who are interested.
Ethics (AP42)
Mr. James “Bebo” Elkin (MDiv Reformed Theological Seminary, ThM Union Theological Seminary) will explore the pastoral dimensions of ethics on January 16-20, 2022. This course is reserved for ordained men and candidates for the gospel ministry.
