Equipping Preachers, Pastors, & Churchmen for Christ’s Kingdom
For over 30 years, our students have experienced focused, rigorous, and pastoral theological education in the Reformed tradition.
Our Approach to Seminary Education
Through instruction in biblical languages and biblical theology, our faculty equips men to faithfully preach Christ. Grounded in the theological tradition of the Protestant Reformation, our programs deliver the full breadth of the Reformed tradition, from a transparently confessional Presbyterian perspective.
Once you have expressed your desire to pursue theological education to your pastors/elders, contact us to discuss our programs and application process.
Speak to our Admissions Department
In this initial step, you'll share some information with us about you, your circumstances, and your sense of call. Get started via our Contact Form.
Prospective students are welcome to visit campus, meet faculty and students, and sit in on classes at any time (with advance notice). We also host two EXPLORE GPTS open houses per year, in the Spring and in the Fall. Our next one is September 17-18, 2019.
Navigate to our application at gpts.edu/apply, and complete it electronically or print it out and complete it by hand. Please carefully read the instructions on the first two pages, and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Engage with our Seminary Community
As an educational institution committed to advancing Christ's Kingdom, Greenville Seminary seeks both to equip the next generation of Reformed ministers and to provide resources to the church today.
The Smith-Singer Library is open to the public, though circulation privileges are restricted to members of the Seminary community.
Since 2008, we have called home a building which once housed the "Old Taylors High School" on East Main Street in Taylors.
